How difficult would it be to find two jobs in one school? My boyfriend and I are planning on going over together, and it would be much simpler and cheaper, I would assume, if we both taught in the same school and thus were able to share an apartment.
How feasible is this, and what type of schools should I be focusing on?
Note: We're both TESOL certified (with experience).

Hello all,
I am in a similar situation -- any advice would be appreciated.

My boyfriend and I have almost finished a year-long contract with an elementary/middle school hagwon in Seoul. Not coming from education backgrounds and having Aussie accents I wasn't sure how broad our choices would be, but we were offered quite a variety of couple positions. We just hung out for a few weeks to get the right combo of hours, location, pay, apartment etc that suited us. We were offered one largish apartment for the two of us to share and this suited us as we've had room for up to 3 o/s visitors at a time to stay. You mentioned you were looking at schools, so this might be a different experience. Good luck. |

Were you not working at a school, or ? You mention visitors - was it a multi-room apartment, I would assume? |

We aren't working at a public school, we're at a hagwon- a private institute where the kids come after school. And, yes, our apartment has separate: kitchen, (biggish) living room, bathroom, balcony, and bedroom. |

How has that been going for you? I hear some horror stories about hagwons, but they can't all be that bad. |

Addendum: We're hoping to be able to get a two bedroom apartment since the school would not be paying for two separate apartments. Is this feasible or unlikely? |
