Hypothetical question. Lets say some one asked you if they can marry you for just the possibility of imigration how much would you ask for it?

Would you do it for that all powerful F visa so you can do other gigs?

I had a friend in America and she was offered 10,000.00 to marry someone. So they could get their Citzenship. But they had to be married for 10 years.
If you married a nonCitizen in America. You can't get a divorce for 10 years.

50,000 USD if she's hot. More depending on the severity of the ugliness.

Get it in cash baby...get it in cash.
---You can get a divorce anytime but you are still legally responsible for her. If she ends up on welfare or in hospital then you are still accountable for ten years. NO CHOICE.

is it really ten years? if an american marries a non-american, the non-american will get a "conditional permanent resident visa" and after two years, he/she can apply for a "permanent visa" (you can get a divorce by this time)... a non-american can apply for citizenship after 5 years of residency...

Hypothetically, I'd do it for the visa. Why not, you can get the better one (can't remember the number, a couple of posters here have it) after a few years so it's not like it would be a permanent situation.

Same for getting someone permanent resident status. Though they'd have to front all the visa charges and whatnot. Living with each other is a requirement though, because that's one the things you have to show to get the permanent visa (in Australia, though I'd imagine elsewhere too). It's only two years, it'd be like having a roommate.

In reality though, I probably wouldn't, because of the financial responsibility thing. And for the fact that I'm already married.
