An Austrian dude and his wife (very nice folks) have opened a metzgerei behind Geckos in Itaewon, right under the Fox & Hound Irish pub. Very nice coldcut selection, and everything they make is very nice. They're a little out of sight, but definitely deserving of success. For anybody who likes quality European deli stuff, they are the place to go.

Good homebaked bread too--lotsa sourdoughs!

Are they a deli where you can buy the cold cuts or a sandwich deli?

Hahaha sorry! I just re-read the OP and yeaaaa that place I linked to isn't behind Gecko's... I just saw "aussie guy and his wife" and assumed.

Whoops. Anyways, there's another new place to check out, haha!

They will make fine sandwiches for you or you can buy the ingredients and take them home. I usually do both. They go proper NY deli style on the sandwiches--by that I mean they put a LOT of meat on. I recommend the Meatloaf on Sourdough, and maybe take home some salmon and smoked duck and a loaf of hard rye...ah, crap, I'm hungry now.
