i keep getting these phone calls with an 060 prefix on my phone.

i've been told that it's spam, and if you pick it up - or call it back - you get charged some exorbitant rate on your phone bill.

1. is this true?
2. is there any way to block 060 numbers completely?

There's a way to block the numbers from 060, my wife did it for me.

I dunno about answering the phone calls from them, but I do know from reading another thread that they do have huge toll charges if you call them back.

It's only charged to you if you call back. If you pick up, it's charged to them...which is why they don't give you time to pick up. They hang up in mid-ring.

That sucks man. Hey I just asked her and she said they'll never let you pick it up because they always hang up in mid call. So the obvious answer on that one is no, they can't charge you for the call when they call you.

How to block:

Go to phone book - do you have a reject number option? You add the number there. Our phones are motorolla razors and they have an English option...yours have that? Anyway you can add "060" as a prefix number in the reject option.

Hope this helps...anyone else who wants to help, feel free. Sometimes I just let her do her thing and give up trying to understand what the hell she's talking about Confused

yeah, my phone isn't that highfalutin'. i know that there is a way to do it by dialing some "117" or something and then inputting the number. maybe i'll pop by KTF later and see what they have to say.

Am I missing something? Why would they call you and hang up before you can answer? Don't they want to sell you something?
