I've been offered a position on a tv show. My employers have agreed to let me do it.
Can and how do I get approval from immigration ??

Congrats on the show.

I had the same thing happen a few months ago. I pretty much had nothing to do with the process. From what I was aware of, the tv show put some papers together and gave them to my school. My school then filed the papers with immigration. But....I'm not 100% sure. I will ask the teacher I work with about the details and post them here.

What show are you to be on?

OK, I'm back!

I asked my coworker and he explained it to me this way.

My contract says that I can't work anywhere without the permission of the school. The TV station filed papers asking permission for me to work there. The school sent papers back giving permission. The papers state NOTHING about any payments, so as far as immigration is concerned I'm not really working.

PM if you want a more drawn out explanation. Maybe it seems a bit off but this is Korea. And like willneverteachagain mentioned, he went a year without getting in trouble with immigration...Even though I wonder Will, how did you manage to be on TV for a year without anyone from your school noticing? I went to school today and almost all the kids knew I was on TV.
