An Austrian dude and his wife (very nice folks) have opened a metzgerei behind Geckos in Itaewon, right under the Fox & Hound Irish pub. Very nice coldcut selection, and everything they make is very nice. They're a little out of sight, but definitely deserving of success. For anybody who likes quality European deli stuff, they are the place to go.
Good homebaked bread too--lotsa sourdoughs! |

Are they a deli where you can buy the cold cuts or a sandwich deli? |

| They will make fine sandwiches for you or you can buy the ingredients and take them home. I usually do both. They go proper NY deli style on the sandwiches--by that I mean they put a LOT of meat on. I recommend the Meatloaf on Sourdough, and maybe take home some salmon and smoked duck and a loaf of hard rye...ah, crap, I'm hungry now. |
