I was wondering if anyone had suggestions or experience in real easy short stories for Middle Schoolers? I want to have it for all levels 1,2,3 High and Low.
I just want it basic enough that they will understand for an activity I am planning which requires them to read outloud and other students are to write down what they say.
That kind of simple.
a resource with many kinds of stories would be great.

Scroll down to 'r' for 'reading' on my link below - lots of short stories available on the web. Alternatively, you can get a reader, such as Penguin or Black Cat readers, which have titles for the younger learners that are graded according to level.

Write information about yourself on the board.

My name is mrsquirrel

Have the students decide what the questions are that go with the answer.

Get the ss to then write four of their own questions and answers about another member of the class (preferably in the third person)

Then introduce each other at the front.

40 kids might take two lessons though
