What's your fave US hospital drama and why.
I haven't seen Grey's Anatomy (Gray's - sp?) much, so can't comment.
I'm truly torn between House and ER.
I mean ER has more meat to it, more characters, more variety, more versimilitude.
But I just like Hugh Laurie's character. Even though most of the plots are unbelievable, too incredible and his bloody mindedness, self assurance and amazing medical prowess have now been overwitten to the point of charicature, I still like it.
Hmmm. I'll go for House, just for the main character and because each episode is more dramatic than the last.... also I've watched ER for much longer and well, it's not new anymore whereas house I've only seen a few times...
I think in the LONG TERM, the repetiveness of HOUSE (he figures it out when no-one else can, breaking the rules to do so, his brilliance is offset by his personal problems etc..) would put me off it and I'd opt for ER.
Discuss.

I'm assuming your poll is limited to nighttime dramas. If you include daytime dramas, General Hospital is the best. In 2008, it will have been on for 45 years.
I know it's strange for men to like daytime soaps, but I grew up watching he show. I stopped watching it for about 15 years and have resently started watching it again. |

My fav is Temperatures Rising (1970s) cos I always fancied one of the nurses with the short skirts they always wore. |

Both E.R and House are shite. The yanks always end up destroying good Brit actors with their fake accents. |
