I'm expecting to get phone interviews any day now. I was wondering what questions may arise. Maybe you guys can share your experiences.
What I'm expecting:
Why are you interested?
What qualities do you have?
An example of how you showed patience..

Anyone want to add to the list?

You will probably be asked, "When's the earliest you can come?"

Teachers have been also asked about their religion, Korean speaking ability, what grade levels they would be comfortable teaching, and whether or not they're married.

Before you sign a labor contract, ask CURRENT AND FORMER EMPLOYEES of the school questions. You should also do research on what to look for in a labor contract and Korean Labor Laws before you sign on the labor contract. Don't ask the questions below to the director or he/she will end the interview. The recruiter should provide you with contact information for employees. If the recruiter is defensive about your request, then you may want to consider looking elsewhere for employment.

Taxes: Does your employer make deductions from your monthly salary for income taxes? Are the deductions paid to the District Tax Office?

Medical: Does your employer make deductions from your monthly salary for the National Healthcare Insurance Plan? Are the deductions paid to the National Healthcare Insurance Corporation?

Korean Pension Plan: Does your employer make deductions from your monthly salary for the Korean Pension Plan? Are the deductions paid to the Pension Office?

Paid Vacation (Annual Leave): How many days of paid vacation does your employer let you have and when do you take them?

Wages: Does your employer pay you on time?

Working hours: What are the working hours at the school? How how many classes do you teach per week?

Housing: What are your housing conditions like?

Severance pay: Does your employer have a history of withholding severance pay from employees?

Airfare: Does your employer purchase an airline ticket for employees upon completion of the contract term?

How many foreign teachers are at the school?

What's the English speaking ability like of the director and other Korean Teachers?

Is your school experiencing financial difficulties?

Ask about the main attractions of the city the school is in.
