My friend/coworker put a pic of all of us on her cyworld page at the Coex Aquarium and I saw where one of her friends made a comment saying there was an ajumma next to her and then she said oops. We were standing with our students. Yeah, that was me standing next to her, so I told her to shut her mouth under her comment on my friend's page and I went to her page and told her I saw her comment and to shut up. I will NEVER be an ajumma. Geez! I don't even have short, ugly permed hair. It's long and straight. She can @#$^& off!

Hey, I am neither of those 5 things.

Really though, ajumma doesn't necessarily mean that you're old and ugly - it just means that you're past your prime and your looks are headed downhill. You shouldn't take it so seriously. And if anyone calls you ajumma again, tell them they're wrong. You're not ajumma, you're nocheonyeo (노처녀).

There must be a reason she called you an ajumma.....

Princess, I REALLY don't understand why you are here and why you have such a hatred of Korean women, specifically.

All your posts, OK, not all, but most of your posts have derogatory comments about Korean women and it is just not right.

It makes you look mean spirited and nasty, not to mention petty and childish.

I am an ajumma. I am married with a child. But I don't have permed hair, I am not old and I am not ugly. I couldn't care less whether people call me ajumma or agassi. In fact, yesterday some milk promoting person called me *agassi* and was surprised to hear that I have a child because I wanted 1L of milk every other day to be delivered and explained that my child drank quite a lot of the stuff.

Ajumma simply means you are a married person, even if the connotation nowadays is rather negative.

If you dislike Korean people so much - you really shouldn't be here, because if eventually you DO happen to marry a Korean man, your mother in law will be a Korean woman and what are you going to say about her, then? What about all the female relatives?

(I have tried very hard to keep my mouth shut but this really is pathetic!) Rolling Eyes

Tzechuk....I NEVER said I hated Korean women. MOST of my friends are Koreans. I just think it is utterly rude and stupid for my friend's friend to comment under our picture on cyworld saying "You are standing next to an ajumma". So, I left my friend's friend a message telling her to shut up, since I was the gal standing next to my friend in the picture. I just hate the connotations that come with ajumma, and people on the street call me agassi. For your info, I would NOT say mean things about my Korean husbands's women relatives...but I am single, so oh well on that one! You just don't go around posting stupid stuff under someone's cyworld photos, knowing the person you are slamming will most likely see your comment. Also, one of my other KOREAN friends, (that's right, KOREAN), had a friend call her ajumma on her cyworld page and she asked him if he wanted to die. Some of us hate that crap. And, I don't ALWAYS say mean things about Korean women on here. You must have me confused with someone else. Rolling Eyes

Seriously Princess...you must be the most ignorant twit here.

Ajuma means a middle aged woman. If you are older than 30, you're an ajuma. Deal with it. Go get some plastic surgery or something.
