Wow! Cirque du Soleil is coming to Seoul from March 29th until June 3rd. I have always wanted to see this. But, it will be at Olympic Sports Complex. Tickets are from 55,000 won to 200,000 won. Seoul always has good things in terrible venues. Can you imagine how many people will go to this since it will be in Olympic Sports Complex??? You would have to buy the most expensive ticket in order to see the performance very well. Otherwise, for 55,000 won the performers will look the size of ants. Too bad how many things here aren't even worth seeing, because most things are held in stupid huge stadiums.......... |

I'd love to see that.
How does one purchase tickets? |

Me, too. But like I already said, the venue sucks!!! Stadiums are too big, therefore, you will have to pay for the most expensive ticket to see the show well. The plus side...the stadium is right by my house. |

another website that actually has some English is http://www.quidam2007.co.kr/ . It at least gives you a sitting chart/price list so you can compare ticket prices and seats.
It looks like you will have to pay 110,000 for decent seats. The seats at 55,000 and 70,000 are very few and at the far left and right of the stage. The 200,000won tickets are VIP and include *beep* d' ouvers, wine, free cd, etc. |

You might enjoy the Korea National Ballet performances.
This Saturday they are putting on an "Ballet Explanation" performance where an announcer comes on stage and briefly indroduces a selection and describes why it is so important/beautiful/etc. and then the dancers come out and dance the short selection. But it's in Korean.
I went to one last fall and enjoyed it. It is like a 'greatest hits of ballet' type performance. |
