I have found many many threads on male dress, but not much on women. (just that males seem to dress better than women)

I am a shorts and flip flop girl. Can a girl get away with wearing long shorts and flip flops? I am guessing no on the shoes, but I had to ask, as I live in them! What kind of sandles are appropriate?

Hogwans- It depends, but most are pretty casual. Wearing shorts to a hogwan would be a stretch. You might be able to get away with kneelength ones. In the summer, I wore a lot of capri pants or skirts. Shoes don't matter.

Public- It depnds, but its usually business casual. No shorts for sure. I wear skirts or pants (khakis are the most casual ones I ever wear). Shoes don't matter b/c you will have to remove your shoes and wear slippers once you enter the school. SLippers here are like rubber sandals (do you remember those ugly adidas sandals-not flip flops- that were popular about 1995) or something equally ugly.

Professional dress is a bit different here, b/c they are still quite conservative. Everything needs to be kneelength. No shoulders. Everything should have sleeves. I probably show moe cleavage than most teachers, which means that I don't wear a crewneck or turtleneck everyday.
