Hi there

Can somebody please confirm whether one needs to make an application in person, i.e I have to go to France, or if I can send in an application by post to get my certificate of good conduct.

I have read the following info a couple of times and as I understand it I can just fill in the form and send it to them with a piece of photo ID and they will send me the certificate.

http://vosdroits.service-public.fr/particuliers/F1420.xhtml

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,

Ok as a foreigner you can either request it by plain mail or using the form for this. (PM me if you need help to fill it)
http://www.justice.gouv.fr/Formulaires/particuliers/Form10071v03.pdf

This needs to be sent at "Casier Judiciaire National, 44317 Nantes Cedex 3, France"

Either way you need to give your full name (birth and current), place and date of birth, and a copy of valid ID.

I'm not sure you can get the result mailed to you outside France however. It might be better to use some friends there as a proxy.

Hope that helped.
