I think that the K League begins this Saturday. I live in Jeongja so I believe that watching the Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma would be the closest team to me. I found they play at the Seongnam 2 Stadium. My question is, does anyone know where this stadium is at exactly and also where I can buy tickets. Thanks in advance! |

I'd be very surprised if you couldn't buy them on the day.
I haven't been to a K League game but whenever I see it on TV the grounds seem to be at least 3/4 empty. |

they have tickets for most games ... but you might need a korean id and a credit card. mrs super dave gets our tickets.
you could probably just walk in and buy tickets to most games, as already said, they're not often full unless it's a really, really important match (usually a finals game). |

you dont have to worry about buying tickets in advance, most you will see at a game is 5000 people.
Besides the quality of the league is crap. It makes MLS look like the premiership. |

Yeah OSU choked big time, dont rub it in,
still I used to referee in the US at the top am level in Texas even working some of the semi-pro leagues. I swear some of the DI ametuer teams I used to ref, especially the ones that were 90% Mexican could beat many of the K league teams |

how'd a guy who lived in texas become a buckeye??? I'm from austin and I just can't understand it. Did you grow up in Ohio? Anyways, at least you guys had the opportunity to choke. UT choked themselves into the Alamo Bowl.
The K-League has come a long way in the last couple years and I honestly think this might be a breakthrough year for them. Suwon has almost sold out their first game of the year and from what I hear, other teams tickets sales are up. |

In terms of quality the K-League is probably better than MLS |

grew up in Ohio and went to undergrad school in Ohio, moved to Austin and went to grad school there in the mid 80s, wife is a UT alumn
Regarding the K League, I was watching "Football Focus" on ESPN in Thailand and their comments about Korean players and the Korean League were nothing but its a third or fourth rate league with that level players. I've been to a number of games and haven't been impressed.
MLS has done a better job developing talent and the quality has improved greatly over the past few years, they've also created a great atmosphere with their new stadiums. It feels awfully lonely at a K-League game where there are maybe 4 thousand people in a 40 thousand plus stadium |
