WTF? Walk into (Public, High) school today, and these two sites seem firewalled or some such thing. Anyone else know what up? How to get around this?

Youtube was banned in schools in Australia after a video of bullying was posted.

Perhaps Korea has followed suit.

I've still got it though.

google video works fine for me but youtube is now inaccessible. Too bad because there was some stuff on there that I used as teaching materials.

How did you get them back? Did you use some sort of special software to crack the firewall?

Unless you're using such sites as teaching tools, why can't you just use them at home? I fail to see the problem.

Never had a problem getting youtube or Google. Have had some other pretty innocuous sites not work for me though.

When foreign websites take too much control of the Korean population, and damage local power/control, it doesn't take much of a reason to get them banned.
