So I've been at my current job a little more than a month now. Our second location is now closing (as of today I guess) One of the english "volunteers" got fired because she is going on vacation next week. And I was just told yesterday I need to come up with curriculum for 6 classes for an entire month and have it done by. Oh yeah, they were upset I wasn't already done with that by today. The problem is those 6 classes change time and day like they are my socks.

We have 3 english teachers 4 korean teachers a receptionist, a cook,a driver, and the director. I would be surprised if we had 30 kids TOTAL. We have 3 kindergarden kids. Meaning the english teachers get to work at 10 and only one of us has a class before 2.

I haven't been paid yet (supposed to happen friday)

Oh and we use Child U (which from what I understand charges 1mil won a month to have access to its internet programs which we don't use)

What do you think, are the chances of this school lasting 6 months?

You're screwed. Start looking for jobs now and try fo a letter of release when you have a few good ones lined up.

30 kids isnt enough for sure.

if they want u to create course material, you better tell them to get out their checkbook and be paying u double what ur getting now. your school should already have that prepared and it's not ur job to develop it, it's ur job to teach the one the direct/school has picked

Your toast dude. 30 kids? You should do a quick checklist of the overhead, the teachers salary, the bosses take, the books, the food, the million other things that go into running this business. 30 students is probably not enough to a support one teachers pay, given all the other costs, much less 7 and the bosses take. Get out man, while you can.

30 students? Wow. We had 58 students, and with one FT, one KT, secretary, and driver it was a tough go.

I can't imagine them lasting very much longer.
