I've been looking at random at the map on my wall for small islands that look unique, then I try to find information and then write it up on the wiki. The smallest one I've found on the map so far has been this one:

http://wiki.galbijim.com/Chilbal-do
http://blog.naver.com/bandri25?Redirect=Log&logNo=29937988 <-- Blog post in Korean, the only info I found besides the Naver encyclopedia entry

And it looks like this for a total of 0.04 sq. km:

Apparently a few people started living there since 1905 to take care of the lighthouse but not anymore.

The smallest one I've been to so far has been Baengnyeong-do, which really isn't that small since it's almost the size of Ulleung-do and has about 6000 people on it. Islands you can reach by bridge probably shouldn't count though unless you went there before it was built.

You know what, an island tour all around the west sea would be a much better tour to promote to non-Koreans than silly restored temples in the city. Islands are dope.

I've been to Beogil-do which is about 30 minutes from Ddangkkeut by boat. That island was very small.

I was stuck on this tropical island for few months that had rampaging polar bears, a mystical homicidal black smoke and a group of mysterious others whose only purpose seemed to be to antogonize and hurt those on my beach.

The weirdest one I visited and lived on was Prince Edward Island in Canada. Hillbillies and rednecks galore!

I concur on that. It is completely divorced from life in Korea's big cities. I recall a ranking police office sinking soju on the beach in his uniform. Not sure whether he was on duty or not but I certainly wouldn't be surprised. Great food too.

My mate knobbed a bird from Canvey Island, near Essex. He said she had webbed feet...
