While we whine about the downside of the expat's life in South Korea, I take the quote below from one of my brothers who lives in the eastern US.
Quote:
Plus the fringe benefits of being trained on how to handle and shoot a gun, identify types of guns along with drugs and using a metal detector!......UGH! Along with how to legally physical restraints to hold a student down if he/she becomes dangerous...SO maybe the USA does suck. Any job for moi over in Korea? : )
And I should add, brother lives in a county, a rural county of 6,000.
Makes you stop and think, doesn't it?

Yeah...we mustn't forget that repeating "the dog is brown" and "she has some ice-cream" everyday to a bunch of kids is so much more soul-enriching and satisfying than what our buddies are doing back home.
