In your opinion, what's the best place to live in Busan, considering these factors:

- relatively flat (not climbing mountains to work)
- clean air
- accessible to beach
- close to shopping and subway

Any takers?

Haeundae or Gwangalli/Kyungsung University area. Both are near nice beaches and not too far from everything you need to survive.

Haeundae is nice, but a bit far from other things. I like Haeundae, b/c you are on the edge of the city so you can get out to the country rather easily. It also has some western bars and good eats.

Kyungsun/Pukyung University/Gwangali beac area is closer to Seomyeon (shopping) and has a lot of bars nearby. If I didn't live in Haeundae, I would live at gwangali.

Haeundae and Gwangalli are the main beaches, although they are somewhat removed from the main shopping areas.subway can get you anywhere you need or want to go in about 30 min though. PNU is really popular expat area as well, but somewhat removed from the beaches. Find a subway map online and just have a good look at it...

With the new subway line, it really isn't THAT far to the beach anymore.
