I just got a call from the wife. A friend of her sister in law is opening this place and wants my weagook opinion! Woot! Score one free dinner for the Fly! Anyway, if it's good - and onlyif it's good, I'll post the directions.

Cool. That's where I live. Do tell on directions if it's good.

PS Do Italian restaurants have dog biscuits?

Woland, not only do they have dog biscuits - they're marinated in olive oil Smile

Ok, this is an upscale restaurant...so if you go, plan to spend some money. The menu hasn't been set, so I don't have prices. We were told to order anything we wanted, and comment on the food on a notepad we were provided. I've taken some pics of the directions, wrote down everything that was on the makeshift menu.

Again, this place feels expensive. The wine guy speaks five languages. I only took one picture of the wine rack, so you can't really see the whole rack, just part of it. This place was opened last year, but they closed it down because the chef couldn't keep pace with the customers and it didn't do well. After re-training the staff, they'll reopen soon. Not sure when though.

One thing I want to mention... The waiters and waitresses all speak English, and they always ask you how the food is just after your first bite or two, just like back home...they serve on the right and take your plate from the left. Or is it the left and the right? I forgot. They replace your silverware after every course. They leave you about five minutes between courses...very excellent service imo.

The food was excellent. The ceasar was perfect...anchovies...it had real anchovies... Very Happy

The pizza was outstanding...I can't tell you how refreshing it was to have a real handtossed pizza dough, best I've had since I went to Chicago ten years ago.

The Carpaccio(sp?) was unbelievable. The Caprese (sp?) was freaking wonderful and the steak was just ok. But at least they know what "medium" means.

The pasta was al-dente, the alfredo sauce was really, really good.

I didn't try the risotto and clam/seafood plate because I hate risotto and clams...but my wife said it was just ok.

Most of all, if you have the money to spend...The restaurant had a delightful ambiance... Very nice place to spend an evening, or at least an hour or two - and no one stares or laughs. I caught some immature girls staring at me once, but they were easy to ignore.

Here are the pics:

I'm a bit concerned about the topping on this 4 season pizza, though, SF. Isn't Sacheoltang another word for Posintang? Say it ain't so!

cold!! uncomfortable!! and certainly not ITALIAN!!

just another KOREAN/ITALIAN modern art deco wanna be resaturant!
nothing different to the 10.000 already out there...

and whats with the NAME .... EUM????

dont want to be hating, Its just that restaurants was my life for 22 years
ITALIAN restaurants! and these wannabe restaurants springing up over seoul is the same as ceaser salads with dried anchovies!!!
just not right is it..

but HEY!! I guess its modern and trendy!!
wish them all the best!!
