Not sure which forum this should go in, so I'm putting it here.
Here's a link to a NYTimes article reporting results of a study showing that exposure to familiar scent associated with learning at certain points during sleep helps increase the likelihood of what has been studied being fixed in memory and recalled.

Can you wait until this info hits the hakwon market? Wonjangs are going to be falling over themselves to promise parents that kids will be exposed to particular scents in learning and selling them equipment to pump the scent into their rooms while the kids sleep.
And what scent will be shown to produce the best results for learning? Kimchi, of course! |
