I can't make up my mind on a proper title for this thread.
This thread is about a personal belief of mine that you can find out a lot (not everything) about another person by the contents of their bookshelf. Never judge people by the cover of their books...beat them with their own books and then take all the western food they have in their fridge.
Anyway, I'd like this post to become a sticky about books that you have that are non-vital to your bookshelf and you'd be willing to trade with someone on the right conditions. I'd like this to become a bookswap thread. Postage is cheaper than buying books, right?
Here's my list of non-vital books that I have. Lay it out on the table and then use PM'ing to barter with people whose books you like. Here's mine:
- The Complete Grimm's Fairy Tales
- red China Blues
- The Way of Zen
- Tao (the Watercourse Way)
- Tom Sawyer.
- Siddharta (Herman Hesse)
Use amazon.coms search feature to look up details of these books. [/url] |

the Buddha of Suburbia is not even related to Siddharta. I started to read it and was enjoying it until my friend pointed out that it was on TV and that reading was a waste of ones youth. How much is postage here?
Time multiplied by TV = reading book x 100
I'll send you the book if postage is 2,000 or below, just for the fact that you're the only one to reply to my drunken post. |
