Any experiences good or bad with China Eastern Airlines?

I've flown with them 3 times now --- not the best, but certainly one of the cheapest.

Lord have mercy !!! China Eastern is the worst I have ever travelled with. I will always remember one flight from Ningbo, China to Hong Kong.
Okay, first the plane was 1 hour late. There was not a drop a beer left in the airport !
And then we had the worst turbulence of my life ! It was so bad that the flight attendant with no expression on her face jumped into the seat next to me and buckled up tight. Meanwhile I was about the throw up from fear as we bumped around the sky. No comfort from her, not even a smirk.
Then they dared try to serve what cannot be deamed as "food." It was the most bizarre unedible food. I couldn't even recognize it and I had lived in China for a while.
Just totally horrific in every way possible.

But, if you like really inexpensive, go for it. It will take a lot for me to get on one of their flights again ...

I'm not sure turbulence can be blamed on the airline, but you never know

as long as you're not on a long flight, I'd pick inexpensive every time, and they certainly are that..
