Can you just travel throughout SE Asia without a preplanned itinenary and take each day as it comes paying with cash instead of a bank card?

Lets Go!
Lets Go!
Lets Go!

You know, out of the 5 places you mentioned going to, only Thailand is in South East Asia, so your thread title is kind of strange.

Anyways, of course you can travel however you like.

Your telling me it's strange simply because you do not understand or are not reading my post, but just shooting rude replies around on this Friday night. Yes, Nepal is not SEA, but the rest is and don't tell me I am strange.

Look, when you do not understand something, do not reply. Plain and simple. Unless of course your asking for clarification on a topic in a respectful manner.

ajgeddes didn't call you strange, he said your thread title was strange.
india, tibet guam and fiji are not in southeast asia. thailand is. odd title.
it's a fair comment.

yes you can travel to all those places without an itinerary, but you might get stuck paying premium dollar for short notice flights off of guam and fiji if you don't book in advance. entry restrictions may require you to have an exit flight booked already anyway.
one can take their sweet time in any country, even those with more complicated visa systems like china or russia.

can you pay in cash? i'm to meet anyone who didn't accept cash as a form of payment. having a mastercard and a visa card pretty much ensures global banking and finance. i've seen very few places where neither is accepted. for these places, have some cash or TCs stashed away.

how feasible? it's entirely feasible, but you may want to brush up on your geography before setting off.

defensive there.

Anyway, yes, quite easy to go where you want. vietnam used to be a little more restrictive in regards to visas (had to put date of expected entry) but it might be different now, and even if it hasn't, that's the only restriction i believe.

Wow, getting very defensive are we. Obviously you know you were wrong then. People who get really defensive usually know they were wrong. I didn't say you were strange, read it again.

I answered your question. If you don't like it, go home.

(Also, does it matter what night I sent it on? Does that apparently affect the rudeness of a post?)

We have people here who are out to flame others to up their egos.

I never said I did not like it over here. If that were the case, you bet I would go home without going anywhere else.

Thanks to those of you who did reply with helpful info.

In fact, I found other threads since that address this question so this thread was kinda senseless on my part. Perhaps thats why I got a litta flamed.
