Used the search function, but haven't gotten any definitive answers. I just want to go for a check-up at the dentist - but I haven't got health insurance - what can I expect to pay WITHOUT health insurance? Do the international dental clinics charge an arm and a leg for a consultation compared to a local dentist? Thanx for your time!

Prices are very variable in Korea. Your best bet is to go into a few local surgeries and ask. Even if you can't speak Korean, you should be able to make yourself understood.

I've had a total of 19 appointments now and have paid W85,000, including prescriptions, xrays, a root canal, and some other work. That's with the national insurance, though. I have no idea what the cost would be without it.
