| I am unfamiliar with this term. It seems to be related to housing/apts. I have been away from Korea for over five years and did not hear this word before. |

| Businesses and apartments (small ones) mixed in the same high-rise. Usually they look the same inside, whatever the usage might be. |

| Its a studio apartment typically. Not bad really for a single person. |

I was in Korea for three years before I even heard of the term.
It's a phenomenon found in the big cities. Doubt if there are much if any on Geoje Island or in smaller communities. |

| It's supposed to be a combination of and Office and a Hotel, something that can be used for both, or either. The kitchens usually come furnished with a fridge, unlike apartments. |

Not only big cities. They're all over the Incheon airport island, and that barely qualifies as a quaint village. |

Say something funny. You seem too serious today. |

Who said quaint village? And the vicinity of Incheon airport, one of the busiest airports in the world? That IS funny. But not in a ha-ha sort of way. Follow caniff's advice. |

| Yes it's basically a studio apartment. If you can get one that was built in the last 2 or 3 years they are really nice. I have a place that was built the other year and the fittings are great. The bathroom is especially nice. They are not usually that big but they are great batchelor pads. |

that one's better than the one I had, but I also had the upstairs loft bedroom.
A/C was downstairs. Wake up in sweaty hell during the summer.
Korean construction...(sigh) |
