There are a lot of factors here though.

Do you live in a villa or APT? Or do you live in one of those little brick house/apt things?
Can you trust your job to recieve and not lose your mail?
Is it a package or a letter?

I use my home address now b/c I live in a well known villa, so I know my stuff will make it. When I lived in one of those little brick places, I used my employer. If you have a doorman and a decently wellknown place, use your home address I say.

Ideally, NEVER use your employer's address. I still remember a secretary examining the vitamins I had ordered - after he had opened my package to have a quick peruse . . .

You already know that there is little belief in privacy - so why make it even worse. Or, just know it is going to happen.

As I live in a newly built apt block, this time I have had all my packages sent to my school. Not one of them has been opened.

At my last job I had my mail sent to my house because it was a well known address.

Is it possible to get a Post Office Box or something similar so that you don't have to use home or work?
