I am at my kindie waiting to do something. First day. There doesn't seem to be any plan for me to teach anything today, so I am wandering around being stared at. I think it's the first day of the semester. The level of screaming is fantastic. Right now I am in the office and there is a line of kids outside screaming "OoohMAAAAAAAA!!!!!" and the director is frantically calling their mothers and letting them cry on the phone. It feels like a jail with a line of prisoners lined up for their weekly phone call. On the good side, I was given a delicious bowl of sliced apples and it appears that I will be paid for walking around all day saying "Helllllooo! How are you???" Kindie rules!! |

I hope you will do more than that.

Ah, Tomato, you're a peach! Thanks for the help.
I guess you didn't get the inherent sarcasm in my post. Didn't really think I didn't know what I was doing, did ya?
Good links though... |

All of those links are great. I'm putting together a lesson plan for my kindy class tomorrow. Last week was my first one. They told me they just wanted me to play with the kids, but when I showed up I found that I'd be doing a 40 minute lesson. They kids are very well-trained, so behavior's not a problem. I read all of these threads and I'm amazed at the abilities of your students. They're a higher level than my 6th graders. I'm just hoping to get them interested in an activity and learning something. Last week they would repeat after me, but we tried "slap the flashcards," and charades, and things like that, but nothing worked. 아이고. |
