Just curious about other expats' opinions of Korea.

What do you like best about living in Korea?

For me, I guess it's my job. I like my students. Sure they're rascals at times, but a lot better behaved than the kids back home.

Another thing might be the convenience of things in Seoul. The public transportation is excellent and can take you almost everywhere.

▶ the kids (I concur with your first point.)
▶ getting around without having to drive a car (I concur with your second point.)
▶ steady employment (I was a loser back home.)
▶ the challenge of learning a second language
▶ no hoodlums on the street yelling "Hey, you ugly fag!"
▶ no sexual abuse hysteria

I like the fact that there are no gays or no AIDS here.

I like the fact that there definitely are gays here and hanging out with them is a good way of avoiding homophobic foreigners.

Soju's dirt cheap and I like the idea that you can take a piss wherever you like. Very Happy

Tomato's list was too good. I modified it a bit though...

▶ the kids (It scares me to see what assholes they might grow into...such is life)
▶ getting around without having to drive a car (Damn environmental college brainwashed me)
▶ steady employment (came here right out of college, maybe I would be a loser back home.)
▶ the challenge of learning a second language
▶ Having the opportunity to see my uncle (America is too damn big when you come to Korea for a family reunion Laughing )
▶ Personal growth

Have you experienced this problem in your native country? If gays are giving you unwanted attention report it to the police as harassment.

Any day in Korea, even a bad one, is more entertaining than one of your posts (OP).

You want the absolute truth?

I don't like Korea. I am here because I married my Korean husband (met him before I came to Korea).

I would leave tomorrow if I were offered a job back home in the UK! Well, OK, not quite, but yeah, I would leave without hesitation.
