I think this is a really interested legal argument. However, all alimony laws are non-gender-specific (meaning the person who earns substantially less will get it, whether that person is the husband or the wife), so I don't think it should legally absolve his obligation.
What I want to know is, if this chic can afford to pay for elective surgery, why is she getting alimony at all?
