|
|
About 3 months ago I sent home a lump some of money (50 million Won) back to the UK to buy a house. However, the mortgage fell through (another long story), and now the wife wants me to send the money back to Korea. I am sure that I will lose out about 5 million won on the exchange rate, but I am not sure exactly.
So my question is this: Has anyone ever sent money from the UK to a Korean bank account? And if yes, how did you do it??
Cheers in advance,

Why don't you call your bank's telephone banking line and ask them. You MAY be able to do it over the phone.
Or do any of your family members e.g. your mum have third party access to your account? If so, maybe she can draw up a money order for your and send it over via registered mail.

If you want to buy a house in the UK and get a mortgage, I suggest you open a bank account in the UK and leave the 50m there. They won't give you a mortgage unless they think you can pay for it and have a stable connection with the UK.
But yes, you can send money from the UK to Korea- my late father used to do that all the time..... |
