Hey all,

Refresh my memroy please.

When you submit your transcripts for a visa, immi keeps them, right? As in, they don't give them back to your employer?

Thx,

I didn't receive mine back. I did receive my diploma back, torn, wrinkled and it had been stepped on. Laughing

You're luck that they didn't wipe their ass with it. You would've had a long brown strick across your diploma.

A friend I worked with here many years ago stressed to our boss to take care of his degree and to not fold it as his mother kept it framed. A month later the boss gave it back to him in a tiny envelope. It had been folded 6 or 7 times to get it to fit in Rolling Eyes .

Since they have opened the transcripts, they would be nearly useless to you in the future anyway (as far as Korean immigration goes.)

From the question, I think the OP is worried that his employer will get a good look at his transcript if immigration sends it back.

Did someone tell a little white lie to the bossman?

And the answer is no, they don't send them back. I assume they are in a file somewhere, but your employer probably could get a hold of a copy if he really wanted to.

I don't think it actually matters much what your GPA was unless you were applying for some job at a respectable organization. By the time they receive everything for your visa application, they are so far into the hiring process that I don't think they would turn around and say they no longer wanted to hire you. I've never heard of it happening.

Sadly I've only heard of job offers disappearing when the school finds out someone is black.

Ah man, I would have thrown a princess, pissy fit. That's BS!!! I'd try to sneak his degree off the wall, if he had one on the wall, take it out of the frame and fold it. Let's see how he would like that! Twisted Evil
