He's had a helluva week, knocking out two of Korea's top fighters in 8 days. He's certainly become well known among Korean followers of K-1 and MMA, and those us who follow the sport.

Mighty Mo!

미이티모!

Exclamation

I didn't know much about him till this week. From his posted "fighter profile" I see that his overall record is 29 wins 5 defeats, with 21 KOs. His K1 record is only 9 wins against 5 losses, though, so I think that he may be better suited to UFC or Pride. Reportedly, he was an outstanding wrestler in high school...

Besides his KO win over Hongman Choi (who now, we're told, fought with an injured ankle...) Mo's biggest win came over Remy Bonjaski (who he also subsequently lost to...) He also has a one round KO of former heavyweight boxing contender, Francois "the White Buffalo" Botha...

Injured ankle exscuses eh? Mo nailed in the face not the ankle. I got no issue with Hong-man but after seeing his face plastered all over tv like that, my secret nationalist nerve center got all tingly when an American knocked him out.

Choi Hong Man doesn't kick, and he doesn't move around much so the injured ankle theory is pretty meaningless in explaining of his match

It's no excuse for getting KO'd, but an injured ankle can seriously affect one's punching - and knee-ing - power. Choi's most effective weapon is usually pulling an opponent into his big knee lift, but it seemed ineffective against Mo.

I'd expect a different outcome if they met again, but Mo definitely has a puncher's chance against anyone...

And I'm shocked, shocked that they aren't playing the K1 matches on KBS/ESPN like they usually do.

I'll just have to watch Jeanette Lee bend over the pool table one more time...

It's kinda funny, cause I said something similiar when I heard. Like, "I was wondering what happened to the non-stop Hong-Man channel."
