| Just curious to know what would happen if I backed out at the last minute after my flight is booked? Thanks |

| most airlines can cancel their flights before a cutoff period, maybe 14 days before or something. depends on the airline. if that is the case you should be alright to back and the recruiter/business wont lose their money. |

You will have one pissed off employer.
Someone (depending on who paid for it) will pay a penalty for the unused airticket.
Depending on who has your documents you may lose them.
If you already have an E2 in your passport you will NOT be able to work in Korea for the next 90 days (until the visa expires).
If you do NOT have an E2 but the visa has been applied for you will have to wait 90 days before the next employer can apply for a new number.
If nothing has been done except you signing the contract, there is no worry.
They can't sue you in your home country - no jurisdiction
"The terms of this contract and the rights and obligation of the parties hereto shall be construed, interpreted and determined in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea."
and it is not worth their while to sue you here because they can't force you to appear in court as long as you are out of the country AND they will never know if/when you may come here. Immigration won't get involved in this because it is not a criminal matter and they have no jurisdiction either. |

Just go for it, you have to in order to get there and achieve more in life. Assuming you spent alot of time in researching this decision to the point of flying, go for it. Do it, you will regret it greatly if you back out.
