Hi all,

I'm a first time poster, but I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now. Looks like a great resource so I figured I'd ask...

I'm a gyopo planning on going to Korea for a year to attend university (with an F4 visa). Realistically, do you think it's possible to teach English part time on weekends and some evenings, while balancing full courseload?

My friend's uncle owns a hagwon and he's agreed to hire me if I go, so actually finding a job isn't the problem. My question relates more to workload and prep time. For every 1 paid hour of work, how much prep time goes into that? I'm ok with not teaching if it comes down to it, because school is my priority at the moment.

Thanks for all your help!

When studying, I choose to teach courses with almost zero prep...like a conversation course with a really good textbook.
