Is it possible to have two pre-paid phones under your name as a foreigner? I ask because my friend had his phone shut off. His corrupt boss is causing him some headache. I wanted to see if he could get him an pre-paid phone though using it a bunch might cost him a bit. He has a phone already. What about converting it?

You can get two prepaid numbers from each carrier last time I checked.
I doubt your friend can change his shut off phone to a prepaid plan unless it's his and in his name.

Prepaid is actually cheaper than subscription service:
10,000 Monthly for the line.
10,000 For a card you use with a toll free number approx. 2 hrs!

It is possible. I have a phone on a monthly bill and two pre-paid phones (I got for me mates who didn't know how to get one) in my name.
