I'm trying to get a sense of what kind of teaching job I should be going for in SK. I have an undergrad in English & an MA in Applied Ethics (hey, no wonder I still haven't found what I'm looking for). Aside from leading a few lectures to Med students & Law students, I don't have any teaching experience.
Should I be looking @ hogwans? They sound...dodgy (/understatement)
Public schools?
I would like to eventually teach Uni, but obviously I would have to spend a few years getting teaching experience/making contacts. Would it be better to teach adults as a resume point when later applying to Uni's?
Based on my degrees, but lack of experience, do I have a leg to stand on in negotiating better pay?
etc etc I know, most of these questions have been asked a million times. But I do appreciate any advice.
Thanks! |
