|
|
Big showdown next weekend Daegonians! Come out and watch the Daegu Thunderbirds (in our inaugural game) take on the Seoul Chiefs in the first installment of what is sure to become a heated rivalry. We're trying to get as many people out as possible and we think the game should be well attended. Bring your pom-poms for your favorite team!
We're going to be having a 50/50 draw at the game as well as some sort of shooting contest in the intermission for a bar tab at the Thunderbird after the game!
No admission charge......should be a good time! We'll all go out for beers after!
Tell your taxi driver(2,000 won from downtown) to take you to shee-min-oon-dong-jang....it's the stadium park where the baseball and soccer stadiums are...the hockey arena is right behind the baseball stadium.
The puck drops at approximately 9 o'clock, Saturday the 18th.
See you there!!
Cheers,
CBC |

Geddes...i like your avatar...but you should change your view. In the Daegu Thunderbirds you're probably looking at one of the greatest, if not THE greatest hockey team ever to lace up the skates.
With great players from the past and present like 'Gravy Train', 'Bagpipes', 'Gangles' 'Champ', and 'The Spruce Moose'; frankly, there's no way I can see us losing. |

| Ahhh, but you must know that I play for the Chiefs, however, I won't be making the trip down to Daegu. In fact, very few of our better players are making the trip down, and you guys should probably have an easy time with our team. |

Copout!! Too bad you can't come. We wanna go all out and host you guys well. I think most of the fellas are coming down on Friday night so it should be a couple of fun nights. We're promoting the hell out of the game too.....we're counting on getting a pretty good crowd. |

| Yeah, most of the guys are pretty excited about it, I think 15 or so are going. About 4 of those guys are at a darn low level, to the point where it's like playing short-handed. There are a few good players going down, but I don't think anyone off of the good Kimchi Pot team is going. I still really want to go, but I just can't make it. Bummer. |

I'll be there with bells and whistles....I wish I hadn't left my Leaf jersey at home...fatal error on my part.
Go Daegu! |

Jesus Christ you're a tit Conan. To each his own right? Go sit in your booth at AU bar, have a warm Cass, and shut up. |

Conan?? Are you a joke? You're probably a fan of strip joints, hookers and the occassional rub n tug eh?
By making fun of hockey you're basically making fun of every Canadian man...except the ones who like watching Sex in the City or painting portraits of the beautiful sunset off the coast of Mexico.
Go away. |

Well.....a great game was had! The Daegu Thunderbirds pulled out a squeaker 5-4 over the Seoul Chiefs. We probably had about a hundred people at the game and they were loud and boisterous.....and maybe more than a little drunk!!
Thanks to all that came out. Daegu will be visiting Seoul in the near future! |
