Hi,
I am aware I am just as guilty as many others...but as this is a Korean Job Discussion Forum....wouldn't it be kind of nice if we could all call a truce--forget about nationalities---and nation-bashing---call ourselves "Citizens of the world" and actually use this forum for what it's intended? Namely....discussing job-related issues.
I'm new to this venue...and perhaps I got off on the wrong foot...BUT I am certainly willing to admit this...(as well as offer sincere apologies to any and all whom I may have offended)...and wish there was even a modicum of civility and tolerance and rationality discernible.
I had originally signed on in hopes of some degree of useful and meaningful communication. Perhaps...just perhaps some of you feel the same?? Anyone out there care to "second the motion"? |

first of all, hi, and welcome to the interwebz. Second of all, no, because this particular board is about general living in South Korea. |

| I think a problem with these forums is that many people post on here while being intoxicated. The other reason, I guess, is because, from my experience, there is such a wide range - a polite way of putting it - of Westerners working as teachers in Korea! |

Hi,
The reason the American Embassy is so well-guarded is because it is the building representing the most trouble-making country on the globe!
America maintains to the world press it really wants world peace...but in truth it knows that world peace would spell economic disaster for the nation!
A quick look tells you AT LEAST 35% of the GNP and DNP is directly connected to the design and manufacture of munitions, weaponry, vehicles and machines of war. Not to mention the millions who are employed in these fields AND those in the four branches of their military! World peace would bring this all crashing down! They want world peace??? NOT HARDLY!!!!!
America recognized decades ago that it was their involvement in WWII that finally brought it successfully out of the Great Depression. These maggots secretly vowed then they'd NEVER go back to a peace-mongering nation again. WHY????? Simply because there's NO MONEY IN IT!!!!
They "stir the stick" across the globe and THEN go in selling their military hardware, fighter planes, battle ships, guidances suystems, land mines, bombs, etc. etc. etc.
The world KNOWS what America IS!!!
This is the reason America has so very many enemies! This is the reason they need their embassies guarded!!!
The American Embassies across the globe will always need to be guarded....until they GO HOME and STAY HOME...and learn to mind their own business!!!
This war-mongering nation America is the hemmorhoid in the a**hole of the world!!! |
I don't think you offended anyone, I think that you showed an interesting side to you that many found ignorant.
That aside, as long as you keep your replies on topic then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. I have criticized and have been criticized on this board. Just roll with the punches. |

Ain't that the truth. Probably 75% of my own posts are the result of the drunken high horse I always seem to hop on after a long night out.
Do they make some kind of breathalyzer for your computer? I think I remember reading something about phone breathalyzers to prevent drunk dialing. They don't allow you to make calls if your alcohol level is too high.
I'd buy both!! |

I second that and I declare a truce with everybody from this point on. |
