Not sure if I am the first to post this, story of an English teacher that was killed by a Japanese student. Be careful if you do any private lessons.

Yes definitely risky. I did some private lessons at home in the UK in my own apartment and I alerted my upstairs neighbour and told him should he hear an alarm or any disturbing noise not to ignore it. Luckily I never had problems.

BTW I have taught several seriously unhinged Japanese students at language schools and one male groped me in class. When I objected he denied it and rushed to my boss demanding compensation for being falsely accused!
