That makes no sense. What grounds would they have to arrest a teacher at an "interview"?

What grounds would they have to arrest a teacher with a F2 visa as he or she can teach anywhere they please?

Smells fishy or we did not get the full story (kind of par for the course online) or this is incompetence.

Well Homer, congrats... you're coming to the same conclusion that others have already come to. Why would the police be so stupid? They didn't know how the visas worked, and they've just botched whatever wonder-sting they were trying to set up.

Attorneys are now involved.

People in that thread were also saying 'police' a lot. Cops have no juristiction with foreigners and foreign affairs unless we smash someone over the head with a soju bottle or something like that.

The thing about cops is this. If they stop you, they have to speak English to you and you have to understand. Even if you are going to get a ticket, they'll tell you why you're getting one and ask you if you understand why you're getting one.

A while ago a friend and I got out of a ticket cause we played the "Dumb white guy no speakee Korean" card.

If it was an immigration officier asking to see my ID...sure. Some cop wantiing to see my card...give me a reason? Is it illegal to walk down the street now?

B.S. if you ask me.

Actually...foreigners are required by law to present their I.D. card to any law enforcement officer who asks' for it. The same for koreans.

Just in case you missed it...I was saying the story sounds like a made up story.....Re-reading the thread, I see many holes in this so called police sting. But hey...it is online and written by one of us (westerner) so it muct be true.

What else can be said?

Take an otherwise law-abiding person and make them into a criminal? What good does that do? Why don't they just go after all the clean-living foreigners and get them hooked on heroin so they can kick 'em out of the country?

WTF retard? Did I say I wanted to go to "your country" and try that shiat?
What with you Americans and "I'll stick my glock down your throat?"

Do you even have a clue how much a glock would cost? If you made that kind of coin rolling grannies for their pension cheques you should have stayed in the great US of A fuktard.

All I was doing was sharing an experience with you guys. My brother in law is a cop. So I know a thing or two. He'd always tell me about run ins with foreigners and how it's just so much easier to let them go than give them a ticket. They have to make sure you speak English. They have to make sure you understand the charges againt you. Where did Mexicans, Spanish and glocks come from anyways? WTF dude? Korean? I can speak Korean if I need to, usually it's better to keep your mouth shut and play stupid.

Next time a cop comes by and asks you a bunch of stuff...nod your head and pretend to understand you gun-toting piece of internet gangster wanna be.
Go back to your apart and listen to some 50 cent chump. Next time don't talk unless ou have a clue what your talking about?

And as for your Spanish? No habla, no habla....that means "I can't speak."

How the fuka re you talking when you don't speak? I think you want to add a language to the end of your sentence.

What you want to say is "niguana hablo ingles".

Well look there. You are right. That's why I'm explaining their rules to you and everyone else moron.

I certainly hope your kids have better reading skillz than you gangstah!
yo yo.

Ok first let me apologize... and the rephrase that.. as it obviously didn't come out or across as I wanted it to....

I am speaking from working 10 years as a cop in America so yes I have a clue how much a glock cost as that was the weapon of my choice..

My point is not speaking the language of the local country you're in does not get you out of anything.. the cops don't care if you speak English or not where I am from..

I will say that most cops do try learning the language if there is an influx of a certain type of foreigner.. where I lived it happened to be Spanish.. They always claimed to not speak English when they could speak very well.

"no habla no habla" yes I know it means I cant speak.. if you need me to put the english in there then I can do that for you.. but its pretty much understood.

Again it was just an example from a different place in the world other than good ole Korea where we all know how much it "Sparkles"

I am American and what you are saying is very childish. No wonder you are no longer a cop. And if you did something like that you would end up in jail. So I am going to assume that you are just kidding and leave it alone at that. But yes you will have to wait for an interpreter and not speaking the language really does nothing for you but cause a headache. Thats my 2 cents.
