Hey, I'm going on holiday to Thailand soon and plan on getting an English teaching job in either Thailand, Tokyo or Seoul once I run out of money. As far as I'm aware the best place to save money would be in Korea, so this is probably going to be my main choice though I'm sure Thailand would be more fun..I'll see nearer the time...Anyway, my plan would be to get a cheap flight to Seoul and then look for work once there...

Has anyone tried this before and any tips or suggestions on the best way to go about it once there? I figure going over there is better as you can get a look at the apartment, work environment and meet other staff etc...so you're less likely to get a bum deal.

Also, is a copy of my degree and CV with references all that's needed for most employers?

Cheers.

Your resume.

Probably a stupid question but I never went to my graduation ceremony and the only thing I received through the post was a certificate of my degree, what are the transcripts and do you get them from UK unis?

Also, as for Tokyo I was thinking of applying to NOVA online if I decide to go there.

Well contacted my uni and am getting transcripts sent....

Anyway, does anybody recommend or think its a bad idea to fly to Seoul with a bit of cash and look about for work? Or would you suggest applying online from Thailand?
