what else do i need to bring?

i already got about 3 packs of deodorant
2 tubes of toothpaste
some shampoo and conditioner i like
plug adapters

should i bring some sort of gift (like a statue of the golden gate bridge or something for my director?)

bringing lots of jeans and nice pants (my school said i can wear jeans)

I can wear low cut tops when I go out right? I had to go buy a bunch of shirts today that go way up to my neck because i got freaked out about all the clevage issues talked about on this board.

Haha...don't worry about night life wear. It can get pretty racy here, especially in some of the upscale clubs.

You may want to consider bringing some OTC meds that can be tough to get here. Ibuprofen, Pepto-bismol, allergy medication, Nyquil, Dayquil, etc. Theraflu is a MUST. I stocked up when I went home in October, and my winter was MUCH easier as a result.

CHILL OUT! Quit posting so damn much. It's just Korea; it's not like you're going to Kyrgyzstan or anything. You can get what you need here, you're not expected to come bearing gifts (holy hell, would I give a gift to an employer? no!).

If you forget something, have it shipped via USPS.

IT'S JUST KOREA.

Correct.

Stop worrying about every little detail and just get your ass over here!!! You'll find it a lot easier than you think.

Your main concern shouldn't be stuff to bring or what they have or haven't got in Korea. Your main concern should be how you will adjust to life in Korea. What you bring in your suitcase won't help you with that.

Or just make a list and then post it on ONE thread, that would be nice.

Definitly bring some cold medication. I NEVER get sick in the states, but here I get colds about 3 times a year. And they seem to last a while longer than i'm used to as well. Also, maybe a bit bottle of pain killer (tylenol, advil, whatever you like). They charge a lot for that kind of stuff here compared to the cheap generic bottle of ibuprofen in the states.
If you aer going to be anywhere in a smaller city, bring a couple months of tampons. You can find them easily in big cities, but not in the sticks.
And finally, you will be able to find pretty much everything in Seoul. So, don't worry about anything.

Don't let these nasty people bring you down flower. It's a big step for some people coming out here. Different people feel prepared in different ways.

Have you got enough walking around money? That's one of the most important things to have. If you have that then you can take care of most problems.

I first came out here I didn't do any research or ask any questions and I hated it. Now I am wiser and more cynical it's ok.

Enjoy the flight.

Assuming you're female, if you wear over a US size 7.5 shoe, bring plenty along with you. You can find sneakers and such just fine here (by shopping in men's sizes), but dress shoes are near impossible or absurdly expensive.

Oh yeah. and underwear and bras. If you are under a size 8 (US), you can find udnerwear easily, but its either A) butt ugly B) up to your belly button C)full of lace, bows, frills, ruffles, and other shit D) All of hte above.
Bras are usually full of lace and bows and crap too. No idea how they wear them under a tshirt.
Its not a huge deal, but just don't plan on buying them here. If you do need something yo ucan always have people at home send you stuff. And that goes for pretty muc heverything

One thing you may need is an iron. They absolutely do NOT sell them here in Korea. I had to get mine shipped in from a website and it cost a lot of $$$.
