Mine is "When I See You Smile" by Bad English.

When I see you smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile
I can face the world
You know I can do anything
When I see you smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile
I see a ray of light
I see it shining right through the rain
When I see you smile
Oh yeah, baby when I see you smile............at me!

This is obviously a very important and serious thread, and I want it treated as such.

"Every Rose Has Its Thorn". I even have a Poison t-shirt that I picked up at a used clothes store for like $3.

This is automatically rejected as being the song that has single handedly ruined every live concert, EVER.

"Oh Sherry" by some guy. My brother was jilted by a girl called Cheryl (close enough for him) and he played this song again, and again.

Steve Perry.

(Don't worry, I kicked my own ass for knowing that.)

"Home Sweet Home" by Motley Crue! And I find it so timely for this coming month!

But really I looked through some of the songs at my disposal at this moment, and decided the sentimental song that has really stuck with me for a long time has been "Stay" by Shakespeare's Sister. The German synth band Blutengel made an awesome remake of it a few years ago as well.

If the song above doesn't count because it isn't performed by rockers (though they are darkness) then I'll go with "Hey You" by Pink Floyd.

Second.

My goofy, lovely German friends made a big show of playing this on my last night out at our local club (Kulturzentrum in Mainz) before I left for der Ooo Esss Ahhh when I was 21.

I didn't have the heart to tell them how corny I thought it was at the time. Now it make me go all "Awwww" nostalgiac like every time I hear it.

Could you actually write some lyrics, and not just the title of the song?

Smile
