Has anyone found buttermilk? I have not looked for it, but I am going to start making my own sour cream, and I need that ingredient. |

A substitution for buttermilk is to add 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar to one cup of milk and let it sit for a few minutes. It will thicken and you can use it as buttermilk in recipes.
How are you making sour cream? I make it by draining the liquid out of plain unsweetened yogurt until it's the right consistency. |
