I am curious in a socological way if you are happy. Do you ever think about changing jobs. Do you think about leaving your job say for a public school position.

I already have a public school position. Its not perfect, but no job is. I hope I like my next job in the States this much. I'll be a lucky girl.

Of course I think about changing jobs, but not to a public school job. Been there, done that, and I prefer making full-time money from a full-time job. Also, I know that it's hard for me to be happy when I'm being paid to do nothing but sit on my ass for several hours each day. I'm lazy, but I find my "professional" happiness is somewhat tied to how productive and useful I feel.

Overall, I'm happy with my school. There's better out there, and worse out there. When I come across something that (realistically) is a better option, then I'll be moving on.

But for now, it's good.

Absolutely love it. It has its challenges but they're the good kind of challenges. If they moved it to a Daegu subway line and let me plan the cafeteria menu it would be absolutely perfect.

I like my job just fine. As someone already said, no job is perfect, but I'm at the top of the public school pay scale and I teach only a few hours a day. I get a lot of free time to play online chess while listening to classic rock concerts at wolfgangsvault.com/
All while plannng marvelous lessons of course.
What's not to like?

I love my job when my supervisors leave me alone to do it. When it starts getting into staff meetings and new curriculum and mandatory prep time and ridiculous busywork... then I don't love it so much.

I like my job. I have the occasional moments of "ugh," but it's more of a generic "Ugh, it sucks to actually have to work five days a week" than a specific "I hate THIS job." I've never even considered getting a new job.
