I want to use the following text as part of a lesson for middle school boys and girls. Most of it came from Wikipedia and I made some changes. I dont completely trust Wikipedia and I am sure I do not trust my own technical competence when it comes to the written word. Please look it over and make any suggested corrections. Thanks in advance!

Schoolhouse Rock! is a series of 46 educational short films featuring songs about educational topics including: grammar, science, economics, history, and politics. The short films were broadcast on the American Broadcast Company (ABC) television network between 1973 and 1986. The short films were a kind of music video and they were made before musical groups even had the idea to make music videos.

The idea of Schoolhouse Rock! came to a man named David McCall when he noticed one of his sons was having trouble remembering the multiplication tables. However, his son could remember the words of many rock songs. David worked for an animation company and he brought his idea to the manager of the ABC. ABC decided to use the short films as part of their popular Saturday morning childrens cartoon lineup.

Most adults who were part of the generation who viewed the short films can still remember a lot of the songs today. The short films are part of American popular culture and are remembered fondly by most of the people who saw them

Good revisions in general, but ABC can't be "they." It's unlikely to be noticed, though.
