| I was hoping some people could shed some further light on this subject. I've heard that around end May (end of financial year)if an individual has incurred over 50,000 won in medical expenses they can submit a claim. Is this correct, and if so, what's the procedure? |

I think you'll find medical deductions dont kick in until far higher than 50,000 won -- like closer to a million. Then expenses above that would come off your income, not off your taxes due. Or some such formula.
You would claim it when you file your income tax, which most of us dont do personally (entrusting it to our employers). |

| As far as I know, the tax year just finished. Normally, I am asked for all my medical, education, donation bills etc around Dec/Jan and then my school does our taxes for us. I recieved my tax refund last month. |
