Have clear gaps,have everything clear cut.

You can't have things overlap.I don't say that to be pedantic ,I jusyt say it to keep things straight.

Employers DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.Private or public.

Anyways,definitely get your previous employer to come,go with your present employer,get things ironed out,don't rely on 1 officials remark.

Good luck.You've acted in good faith.Be contrite.Maybe there's a good outcome from this.

You needed a new visa in order to work where you are working right now. You are working illegally and it sounds like you'll get deported along with a 2 mil fine.

Had mine taken from me once. You'll have your little mini-trial with some officer at his desk, and probably get fined/exit order/or deported. Depends on their mood. Just act really sorry and nice. Maybe you'll be OK. Hard to know. These guys are cowboys.

I've gotten the boot before, too. But just an exit order and fine for illegally teaching before the E2 was done.

I had a situation similar to yours last year. The upshot was that my hagwon was fined, i was fined but they let me get a new e2 visa with the new hagwon. Nobody on this board can catergorically say what is going to happen to you as it's all down to the immigration official who is handling your case and how much your hagwon is going to stick up for you. Be as humble as possible, if the official speaks english then stress the set of circumstances leading up to being busted, some of them are somewhat sympathetic to foreginers who have been shafted by their schools, others couldn't give a chit. Call your embassy and tell them the immigration has your passport, they will give you the option of them demanding it back for you or you waiting it out to see what happens. If they do demand your passport back, you better have enough cash to pay a big fine and for an airfare out, plus youll get a big red deported stamp on your passport.

this is ur schools fault and shouldnt cost u anything, even if it's bribe money.

They can't take ur passport, i would have refused. Call the embassy now.

If they didnt arrest u, they cant take ur passport

Don't they put it in your passport. ? You should have went to Osaka for a day but that is hindsight.

Usually they hold your passport until you pay fines----maybe your new school will sort it
