My visa expires in a month and my passport expires in 3 mnths which prevents me from traveling anywhere except home.

How can I get a renewed passport here in Korea in time??? The current processing time according to the state.gov website is 10 weeks!

Have you ever been denied boarding at the airport or entrance into any country because your passport did not have 6 months of validity?

Try calling the local embassy here. They might be able to process it quicker than 10 weeks.

Yeah, I have tried contacting them.

I am wondering if anyone here has been in the same situation.

I got a new passport here in Korea in ONE WEEK!. No expediting nexessary. After you submit the paperwork they give you a receipt that says wait 10 days. Then, only 7 days later, it was delivered to my office. I went on Friday afternoon on March 16 to give the papework and had my new passport on March 23.
Recommend to show up 15 minutes before the door opens and you will save 45 minutes in queue length.
Quick and Easy, Do it in Korea!

There is no official expediting. In the U.S. you can pay $60 (or whatever) extra and get it faster, but that's not available here. However, you can probably get it back pretty quickly. You can also do it completely by mail/courier service. The embassy website has all of the details.
